Aid Guide

We are looking for a caring, outdoor lover, a crafty Aid guide to help us in our one-classroom schoolhouse ( 8 children). Reggio, Waldorf, or Nature assistants are welcome to apply.

Skills we are looking for: Reliability, kindness, caring, love for the outdoors (including winter as we are outside every day), and a great work ethic.

Qualifications: CPR and First certified or willing to get the certification. Minimum one year of experience working with children. Ability to walk, lift and pass federal and state backgrounds. Montessori Interns are welcome to apply for a self-direct internship (must have experience working in a childcare setting )Good interpersonal skills are necessary. A positive and open attitude toward all children is a requirement. Bilingual (English and Spanish a plus or Spanish only ).

Job Responsibilities: • Responsible for helping prepare the classroom environment, materials, and equipment; Facilitate a respectful environment for children by advocating conflict resolution and modeling Grace and Courtesy. Stay within the classroom budget every year. Ensure respectful and open lines of communication with parents. Assist in the planning and maintenance of the outdoor environment. Provide first aid as needed and complete appropriate forms for parents. Comply with all continuing education requirements and office of childcare requirements. Assist with potty training, diapering changing, and sanitation.

Hours: Part-time

Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Compensation: $18
